In an age where critical thinking is being eroded by the digital push-button-quick-dopamine-fix culture, resulting in the erosion of critical deep thinking and replacing it with collective thinking, writers play a vital role in bridging the growing gap, incentivizing people to read, to think for themselves and to challenge the status quo - not to become mental slaves to it.
