Brig Ellis is a new age Private Eye with old school values. When he's contacted by an old flame to provide security for her artist husband, he agrees, not knowing that the husband paints with the cremated ashes of human remains. As the artist's profile is rising, so too is the number of people who are offended by what he's doing and want to stop him at any cost. It's up to Ellis to keep the artist safe and the old flame from reigniting while he grapples with his own conundrums about the bizarre technique of Dying Art.
